SG4424 HDTV Slave Sync Generator User Guide The SG4424LP HDTV Slave Sync Generator locks to either an NTSC or PAL reference signal and generates HD tri-level sync per SMPTE 274M (1080i/p) and SMPTE 296M (720p). The HD format is selected by an internal DIP switch. In addition, the generator provides three timing signals to assist in post production. These include SD525i/60, SD625i/48, and Field 1 Line 1 vertical alignment pulse which indicates when the 525i/60 and 625i/48 F1L1's match (every 167 ms). The Divisor switch drops all output field rates by 0.1% (1/1.001).

Testing Applications in Uncompressed HDTV Signals This paper focuses on testing methods and applications for the uncompressed HDTV signal, SMPTE 292M. It includes a description of the signal's electrical characteristics, digital format, and special protocols for embedding auxiliary information. This is followed by an explanation of testing methodologies and tools used to verify compliance to the SMPTE specification. Afterwards, the author suggests two specific areas for automatic testing in the product manufacturing cycle: design verification and manufacturing test.

Uncompressed HDTV Over IP Uncompressed high definition TV signals in SMPTE-292M format will be transported over an IP network in this demonstration. Challenging applications require an entire data stream to be sent in real time. This is the first time the transport of studio quality uncompressed HDTV over IP has been demonstrated. The uncompressed SMPTE-292 media stream comprises an RTP/UDP/IP flow at approximately 1.5 Gbps.
