In this case the customer wants to authenticate WebSphere Portal users against a Lotus Domino LDAP directory while using a dedicated SunONE Directory Server to be used by WebSphere Portal for authorization and personalization. Since the current versions of WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal do not support a configuration with multiple LDAP Servers, the introduction of IBM Directory Integrator as the integration tool.
